Texas Fire Alarm License is required
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer and commissioning devices
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult position such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Overnight travel may be required
Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements
Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures

Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection or life safety consulting
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Civil, etc.)
NICET Level II or higher in Sprinkler or Fire Alarm Systems
CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist)
PE (Fire Protection) license or in-progress pursuit is welcome
Demonstrated ability to perform code research and apply findings to design deliverables
Proficiency in technical writing and document preparation for AHJ review
Working knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler system design
Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit preferred
Competency with hydraulic calculation methods and software tools
Familiarity with hazardous materials classifications and associated system design implications
Knowledge of tools such as HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK, AlarmCAD, or Bluebeam
75% Office Setting
25% onsite field travel as needed
