High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data
Ability to operate handheld or overhead crane
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences
Ability to brush lubricant on moving parts and fit parts together on bench
Ability to operate machine manually to perform nonautomated functions when machine malfunctions
Ability to discuss errors with supervisor to resolve problems
Ability to perform machine maintenance
Ability to bolt, screw, and rivet parts together
Ability to operate hydraulic press to force bearings into sleeves and flatten rivets
Ability to connect electric wires to terminals of subassembly
Ability to move subassembly to storage area
Must meet physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms; may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
