JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Operates shot blast equipment, automatic degreaser, to clean all types of pumps and fabricated components
Receives verbal or written instructions and work assignments from Foreman, or Fitter-Group Leader
Uses floor controlled electric crane, electric jib hoist, or walking electric lift truck to move and position material in blast house, Roto-blast, or automatic degreaser
Checks and adds grit or sand to maintain a sufficient amount of grit and sand in hoppers
Puts protective equipment on before starting cleaning operation
Manually operates high pressure nozzle in cleaning specified areas
Checks cleaned surfaces, reblast for specified finish
