Must have good troubleshooting skills, be able to maintain quality, and diagnose cutting problems

Knowledgeable in basic machine safety to include proper lifting techniques
Basic blueprint reading and math skills (basic geometry to figure angles) and decimals and metric conversions
Knowledgeable and able to use tape measure, combination square, levels and radius boards, etc.
Able to safely use hand tools to include hammer, adjustable wrench, air grinder, pencil grinder, and air wrenches
Must follow all Astec, Inc. safety rules and requirements
Must follow all company policy requirements

Experience in utilizing cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers.
One year of welding experience.
Prior knowledge of setting up welding machines and adjusting settings.
Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
Ability to properly operate welding equipment.
Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.
Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.
This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.
