Must Pass 10 practical welding tests
Pre-Hire Welding Test= 1ea
Certified Welder Tests= 7ea
Upgrade Welder technical test= 2ea
Minimum 3-5 years of welding experience
Must have experience with Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
Must have experience with Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW or FCA)
Must have worked with mild steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel
Prefer experience with Gas metal arch welding (GMAW)
Ability to Weld with SMAW and FCAW in the 2G Horizontal and 3G Vertical up Positions
Ability to do window closure through wall repairs on Radiography (RE) grade examination castings
Previous experience with Casting defect removal (arcing) using the Air Carbon Arc Gouging process
Must be able to read Welder Specification Procedures (WPS), interpret work instructions
Ability to weld in 1G, 2G, and 3G positions
Must be able to document work on daily Labor Tickets
