Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through The National Center of Competency Testing
Requires five (5) years of related experience
Formal education/training may be substituted for individuals with 7+ years of prior experience as a surgical tech
Successful completion of service specific portion of the UNC Health Surgical Technologist competencies
