2+ years of experience in all position flux core wire, fitting experience.
Welds subject to UT weld testing
Accurate hand/eye coordination is required.
Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull.
Work involves considerable climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling for long periods of time.
May lift parts weighing up to 60 pounds and pull approximately 20 lbs.
Need to have the ability to ascend and descent a ladder and/or scaffolding.
Welder will have no more than 90 days to meet the Welder Test Criteria.
For each welding process welders are required to pass two full penetration groove weld tests.
This will be to a backing stripped, one inch thick, 45-degree groove in the flat and vertical positions.
These will be radiographically tested and interpreted to AWS D14.1 criterion.
During the interview process the welder will take both a written test as well as perform physical welding skills which will be UT tested.
