Railcar Inspector
Comprehensive visual inspections of railcars
Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures
Zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy
Pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing
Performs visual inspection of railcar
Within the AAR/FRA requirements for interchange movement
Within customer requirements
Photos are taken for support of repairs
Generates an accurate estimate of the repairs required
Completes all required inbound forms
Maintains open communication with team members to solve problems and provide instruction
Communication channels with customers and outside inspectors
Abides by laws and organizational policies and procedures to promote an environment free of harassment and illegal discriminatory behavior
Adheres to internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and regulatory compliance
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested
Compiles information as necessary or as directed
Provides data to appropriate personnel
Responds to inquiries within given time frames and established policy
Ancillary Duties: supportive tasks may be altered or re-designed
