There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, climb stairs, sit, reach, demonstrate manual dexterity, talk, hear and see
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to multi-task
The incumbent must have the ability and willingness to work extended hours at a 24-hour, 365-day operation
Plans, schedules the efficient movement of material from the warehouse to shipments
1-3 years in supporting shipping
Incumbent must have demonstrated productivity and effectiveness in a teamwork environment and must have demonstrated competency and willingness to adapt to change
Investigate issues that arise with carriers
49CFR, IATA and IMDG certifications, or be able to obtain
Executes/coordinates shipping schedule while working in conjunction with the Shipping Foreman for the best use of personnel
The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during site emergencies and respond appropriately as directed by the Site Emergency Director and be capable of evacuating the manufacturing process areas in a timely manner should an emergency arise
Tenders' shipments in Transportation Management System
Prepares all export and domestic Bills of Lading in SAP
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
The incumbent may occasionally be required to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds)
Must be highly proficient in the use of computers: email, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Creates and maintains the daily shipping schedule
Must be highly organized and self-motivated
Post Goods Issues all shipments in SAP
GED or dipoma
A minimum of a High School diploma
Utilize 3rd party websites/email/phone to schedule customer preferred carriers
